This post is about my USS tour quite long time ago already, uhm, actually just last year. But yes, it's a bit old. Whatever! This is the start of my international travel (seems like famous) in simple layman's term: out-of-the-country tour.
Before I started work in Singapore, of course I need to be familiarize with their culture, tourist spot and everything! And the first stop is, Universal Studio Singapore!
WARNING: Contain a lot not so appealing to the eye photos. not yet a pro, but it's the experience not the photos that counts. OK?!

Universal Studio was the second day itinerary for my first week in Singapore before work started that time. I went to the said theme park of course with my travel buddy, Louis.
We left our hotel by 9am I think?super early! Of course, if in the Philippines you need to be early to catch the exciting rides without having a long queue in Enchanted Kingdom (EK), we did the same! Filipino time when traveling!!!! . The theme park is open by 10am if I recalled it right?
First to go to USS, we need to take the MRT Purple line going to HarbourFront station. It is located in Vivo City, a shopping mall directly connected to the mrt. When we arrived at the shopping mall, I just said "TANGINA MALL BA TO?". Let me jump in to the conclusion that I want to share how marvelous are the architects' minds in singapore to build infrastructure like this.
On the other hand, yes we reached the vivocity. The mall is a bit not tourist friendly that we cannot see where to go or how to go USS. Until we went out of the mall and there's a tunnel/trail that says, "To Waterfront Station". But there is also one signboard, "To Waterfront Station" as well but pointing upstairs. Until Im confused already, I went inside and asked the concierge for the right way.
There are two ways going USS : by monorail train (go upstairs, buy ticket and ride the train) or by walking (follow the trail)! And because I am an adventurous gal type, I take the challenge walk until the USS, where it says, 1 hour or 30mins from this point (from the start) if I am not mistaken. It's just the start of the adventure. ok?

We started walking. A view of a river (idk what river, but it leads us to USS!) Haha

Keep on walking and taking selfie. The fun not yet started but, yea, we're haggard already!

OMG! Is that a travelator? Haha tantalizing!

Awkward smile. HAHA. Sorry I just had my braces that time.
And then after 45 mins of taking selfies and walking we saw the sign "Resorts World Sentosa". OMG! We're getting near.

I forgot to take pictures but before we enter the enchanting world, we need to, I think donate some penny. I don't know I forgot already but it seems like an entrance. It was S$10 that time per person. It's not a big deal if you will enter a well-maintained spot.
Then.. Then.. Tadah!

You can check the prices online: http://www.rwsentosa.com/Homepage/Attractions/UniversalStudiosSingapore
We bought the ticket already! Actually you can buy the tickets online, it's cheaper, but I thought it's better to buy in the booth itself. Cos sometimes, there are promos and freebies if walk-in visitor. Hehehe.
We bought only the one day pass, because I don't think I would want to go back the next day. It's not because it is not worth it, but it's very tiring. Next time will do.
By the way, the Singaporean teller is very accomodating! She really smiled a lot and told me some tips on what to do inside the USS. Very hospitable!

Sorry for the face, I want a selfie with the ticket Haha
Selfie on the admission booth. Buying tickets and at the same time getting the park maps. It's a must for me even I am not using the map.

Park-map girl
We got the tickets. We got the park maps! And yes we can now enter Universal Studio Singapore! Hooray! Who's excited? Me! Come let's go!!
Before we go to the entrance gate of USS. We saw this cave which is where the Resorts World Sentosa sign attached earlier. Remember? Of course we need to see everything inside, we explored this cave too!

The entrance to the cave

Mandatory selfie anywhere, everywhere.

Hahaha pouting is my expertise. Duhhh.
Well nothing much inside the cave, it's pure stones (cements). of course! That's all for that little cave. What else you expect? Poor Crissy! Can we just go straight to the USS itself please?
Okay okay! Universal Studio Singapore in 3.2.1...
And yay! the famous UNIVERSAL STUDIO SINGAPORE GLOBE!!!!

Of course a mandatory shot in front of USS globe. I was alone? No. It's just that time I love using the selfie stick!

Keep on taking selfie. It's USS okay?

The fatty boy is taking his selfie too. Sssshhh.
After endless taking of selfie, we finally decided to go inside.

Universal Studio Singapore Entrance Gate

But selfie again

Heading inside the kingdom. This is the first city, Hollywood!
Universal Studio Singapore is separated to different zones with different rides and eateries, they have Hollywood, New York, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, The Lost World, Far Far Away and Madagascar. Getting more exciting? dig in USS!

Easter Egg Island! It was easter season, so we should be festive.

Selfie with sexy Betty Boop.

Selfie with the minion

oooohhh it's beetlejuice.
We're still at the entrance when we saw these cute USS characters and we asked of course for a selfie right away. We haven't really enter to the midst of the place, we're delighted and happy already. USS never failed to give surprises. Well it's just a start. Look for more? Come!
But wait. gloob gloob gloob. Whose stomach is that? OMG! it's ours! After those endless selfie, we're hungry? What, the fun haven't started. Bear with us we haven't eat breakfast okay?
Louis and I we're really hungry that's why we went eat first before we start our adventure. You know, food first before everything. We went to Mel's Drive In.

We ordered these two set of burgers, fries and softdrinks. The burger was OK? the fries is nice! I love it. It seems a fresh potato fries.

They have the classic American diner interior. The environment, music and how they serve, you will feel you are in an old American city.

How I wish they serve in bigger portion. It's a bit pricey for the size. But this place looks like Johnny Rockets in some points. All in all, it's a bit lame but the taste is quite satisfying.
After we ate, of course we started now with adventure time! First we headed to Spaghetti Space Chase by Elmo and Friends. It is located in New York City! I dont have any photos (I dont know where is my slr mc, i'll find soon and upload). Funny to know that inside was a children's ride. Yes. You will ride a mini train where in you will go to galactic space of Elmo and make some spaghetti. Nevermind it's still one of USS.
Next we headed to Transformers: The Ride. It is in Sci-Fi City. By the way, I am happy to say that there are no long queue on every ride on this day in USS. Hooray!! One word for this ride, AWESOME! They have their 3D-Visual effects. More interesting is that you will really get into their world. Wherein you will act as one of the autobots to defeat the decepticons. Promise, it was a great experience. It's just cameras we're not allowed during the ride.

Battle Glasses Pick Up. This is it!

Getting Near ...

Oh and after the ride, hello there Mr. Bumblebee.
Next we went to The Revenge of the Mummy Ride!!! We're now in Ancient Egypt. This is creepy and exciting at the same time. It is a roller coaster ride with a twist. While we we're riding on the high-speed coaster, I keep on screaming like it's the end of the world. I am not kidding. It was short but a suspensed ride. The funny part was when we we're like the coaster is rotating on it's position and suddenly a hole opened and we all fell down. I was like my heart was separated. My soul was disassociated with me. It's true! One of the creepy rides I ever seen.

We only had the chance to take pictures of the mummy ride outside since cameras were prohibited inside.

Next we want to try the BattleStar Galactica Ride, in the Sci-Fi City. It was the best ride in USS. USS will never be complete without this exceptional roller coaster ride. But too bad we're not given the chance to try this ride since it's close that day (it was under renovation for 3 months). Soon! We'll be coming back for ya. (I hope when work is not busy anymore)
Even we're disappointed, there are still a lot rides waiting for us!
We went to Jurassic Rapid Park! It's inside the Lost World. Yay!! It was also a best ride. It was like Rio Grande in Enchanted Kingdom in the Philippines, but it is more high tech and more exciting! While you are riding on a big circular raft, there are dinosaurs hunting for you. The ride is based from the movie Jurassic Park. Inside the lost world, you are in the middle of a river and striving for your life.

WARNING!!!! You will get wet or possibly soaked!

Hence, there are available raincoats that you can buy using the lost world vendo machine. This is to ensure you won't spoil yout ootd.

You see? We're bit wet. So we need to dry ourselves. There are drying pods within the area but I suggested that we dried ourselves on a ride. silly! But yes, we rode next the canopy flyer to dry ourselves and at the same time to see the whole Jurassic Park Lost World. Sad to say, we dont have any photos there (again it was in my slr mc, still searching). But it was like you are riding on a dinosaur and you will fly and roar the place. The trail was a bit a roller coaster type. Nice ride!
After we conquered the dinosaurs, it's time for a little fairy tale thingy! Welcome to Shrek land the Far Far Away.

Welcome to Far Far Away ... where Shrek and Princess Fiona is waiting for you.

Oh it's their kingdom! Come let's go!!
Actually, we really entered that kingdom. Cos inside is the Shrek 4D- Adventure. The whole time we we're laughing! On how the shrek movie spiels, they also do exactly the same!! I so love donkey!! Here we need to help save Princess Fiona in a totally in-your-face fairy tale adventure. Through the miracle of OgreVision you’ll see, hear, and actually FEEL the action right from your seat! It is a complete set of reality movie dimension with jumps, bumps, bounces, air blasts and water spray that bring the action to life for each guest- with an extra dimension of special effects through the miracle of OgreVision glasses. The best 4D experience! Two thumbs up for that.

After the ride, we went on walking thru the kingdom until I saw this cute little ginger bread. It is real ginger bread. It tastes gross cos I can't take ginger but it is very soft and crunchy. Well? soft and crunchy? a bit ironic. I dont know how to explain but the texture is nice, just the taste. Forgive me, Mr. Ginger bread!
After the happy ending in the far far away land, we headed to ride the Accelerator in the Sci-Fi City! Test your intergalactic stamina and see if you can keep your wits about you while madly spinning on this whirling twirling attraction. We have only one photo with this ride because honestly I was about to vomit! so stupid!

After the whirling twirling we had a stop by and eat some hotdogs on a food stall nearby. (Again the pictures are on the slr's mc) It's getting dark, no it's getting late, about 4pm. So we decided to continue the adventure and forget the dizziness.
We headed to the Treasure Hunters in Ancient Egypt. Basically, it's just a boring ride. lol! Yes this did not delight me at all. You will be on a motor car ride with some music and that's all. This is a venture out on an expedition into the forbidding sands of ancient Egypt, where young treasure hunters can drive their own vintage motor car for an exciting visit through at an abandoned excavation site. I dont know, I was bored here. Queuing and everything! But still okay, acceptable.

Queuing for nothing! Hahaha. Joke!!

I found my treasure! ♡
Then next stop was Madagascar! We rode the crate adventure. Actually, it was kids' ride. We join Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria, the four heroes from DreamWorks Animation’s blockbuster movie Madagascar, as they embark on an unforgettable river ride to explore the madagascar and it was cool. The sound effects, the props everything! It was like you are watching the real madagascar movie.

After the madagascar, we went back to New York City! Hehe sounds real? We headed back to the city to watch a scheduled theatrical play hosted by Steven Spielberg.

It's getting late, we need to go back, eat our dinner and then go back to the hotel. But before that, we went shopping for some USS Souvenirs!

Souvenir shop? But why we're here? cos chocolates are love! We shopped thru and bought something! Tho it's not cheap at all.
Overall, I had a great time in USS! Even it was very hot that time, hotter than PH. If you ever have the opportunity to go in Singapore, make sure you drop by at USS. This will make your Singapore stay more memorable! I assure you!
It is worth a visit!
Bonus story: But but but wait there's more! While we (Louis and me) we're arguing outside going back to vivocity via monorail train (yes i dont want to walk already!), I saw someone that looks Baifern (the actress in the famous Thai movie, Crazy little thing called love). I told Louis she looks like her. Can I possibly take a picture with her? But I hesitated because what if she is not her? Until we got back to the hotel, I checked Baifern's instagram (im following her in IG), and OMG, she's really in Singapore and she just went to USS. Whyyyyy! Yea I am fangirling again. What a waste!
XO, crissylou ♡
